2013 Waterloo Classic Road Race

Date of race:  Sunday, June 16, 2013

Location:  Waterloo Recreation Complex, Father David Bauer Dr., Waterloo

Time: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.  Look for Bruce Glebe.  Please be punctual for 7:30 a.m. as duties need to be delegated quickly. The race will go rain or shine so please dress appropriately.

Part of the LC membership involves helping out with five local road races.  Without the road races, the club fees would be higher and we would be selling a lot of chocolate bars!  Consider the road races as a family outing.  The volunteering counts towards the 40 hours of community service that are required for graduation.  The Waterloo Classic will have over 1500 runners.  Therefore, about 110 volunteers are required.  LC is in charge of water stations and marshalling.

Stylish road race t-shirts will be given to all volunteers to wear during the race.

Please email Bruce Glebe (bglebe@rogers.com) your intent to help out as well as how many will be helping by Thursday, June 13th.  Earlier is better!
