Leah Robinson
Leah Robinson has been a member of Laurel Creek Track and Field Club since 2008.  She is a paralympic athlete who competes in the 100m, 200m and 400m events.  Leah has had tremendous success in the last few years at the international level and national level.
Highlights include:
2011
International Paralympic Championship: Christchurch, New Zealand. – 5th in the 400m.
2010
Commonwealth Games:  Delhi, India – 5th in the 100m and a championship record!
Canadian Track & Field Championship:  Toronto, Ontario – 2nd in the 100m and 1st in the 200m.
USA Paralympic Championship:  Miramar, Florida – 2nd in the 400m, 2nd in the 200m and 2nd in the 100m.
2009
Canadian Track & Field Championship:  Toronto, Ontario – 1st in the 400m, 1st in the 200m and 1st in the 100m.

2008 
Canadian Track and Field Championship:  Windsor, Ontario – 1st in the 100m and 1st in the 400m and a Canadian record!

USA Junior Championship – New Jersey.  -1st in the 400m, 1st in the 200m and 1st in the 100m.
-represented Canada at the Beijing Olympic Games in the 100m and 200m.
-Canada’s youngest track athlete at 14 years of age!
Most recently, Leah was nominated for the 13th Annual Civitan Sports Kitchener-Waterloo And Area Athlete Of The Year.  She was nominated based on her three gold medal performances at the USA Paralympic Championship Meet in Miramar, Florida.  The winner or winners will be announced on May 25 at the Awards Dinner and Gala which will be held at the Woolwich Memorial Centre in Elmira.
Leah attends Rockway Mennonite Collegiate in Kitchener where she is an honours student.  She will be graduating in June and will be attending the University of Ottawa in September.  She plans on continuing with her training and competing while being a full time student.
