Great weekend for Laurel Creek Track and Field Club at the Athletics Ontario indoor provincials championships at York University. Athletes from all our training groups participated and there were some great performances put in.
Top for the weekend was jump’s group member Stephen Davis who took gold in U16 boy’s high jump, long jump and triple jump. Amazing results Stephen!!
In addition, Foster Malleck won gold in U20 men’s 1500m and 800m, decathlete Caleb Timm took gold in U20 men’s pole vault and our U20 men’s sprint medley took won as well. Finally, our U16 girl’s sprint medley team took bronze.
Other top performances were Joel Grevenstein, 4th in U16 boy’s long jump, Brendan Chappel, 4th in U16 boy’s 1200m, Tegan Morrison, 5th in U20 women’s 800m and Spiros Goros, 5th in U16 boy’s 80m hurdles.
Overall, Laurel Creek finished 3rd out of 40 clubs in the U16 category and 4th out of 46 in the U20’s. Great efforts everyone!!
