It’s registration time for the upcoming 2021/22 season. This year we are doing registration a little differently. Please find some important information about the process below. All steps must be completed by October 29th to participate in indoor training.
- Please register your athlete online using this google form:
Laurel Creek Track Club Athlete Registration
- This year we are encouraging payments by e-transfer. E-transfers should be sent to: laurelcreektrackpayment@gmail.com. A password is not required (if your bank requires a password please use “track”). Please be sure to include your athletes full name and group/program in the notes field of the e-transfer. Post-dated cheque plans are available for full year, competitive members only. Registration is not complete until payment has been received and payment must be received to attend indoor training which starts early November. There are two registration categories: Non-Competitive and Competitive. The former includes the Athletics Ontario membership ($25), weekly training at the various venues and a few opportunities to attend some all comers meets so that an athlete may make an informed decision regarding a possible switch to the competitive category. The latter includes the Athletics Ontario membership ($95-$130), weekly training at the various venues and ALL entries covered for all comers, provincial and national meets. Entry fees range from $15-$55 per event depending on the level of competition.
- Covid-19 Vaccine Policy: Laurel Creek Track Club is following the rules and direction put forth by Athletics Ontario which can be found here: AO Vaccine Policy . This requires all individuals, ages 12 and older, eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination to provide proof of double-vaccination to participate or attend Athletics Ontario sanctioned indoor and outdoor track, cross country and other events and activities (those with legitimate medical exemptions must provide proof of eligibility and a negative COVID-19 test result within 72-hours of the start of the event/activity).
As such we are requiring you to send your athletes proof of vaccination (the receipt of second dose) to: laurelcreektfc@gmail.com. Please note athletes must also be prepared to show this at all indoor facilities used by Laurel Creek Track Club starting in November.
- The following forms (attached below) must also be completed and submitted via email to:
laurelcreektfc@gmail.com . Registration will not be complete until these forms are received, and they must be completed to attend indoor training.
- Laurel Creek Code of Conduct (attached)
- AO Athlete 2021 Registration Form (attached- new members only; existing members have already completed)
Coaches will provide all athletes with the Athletics Ontario AO 2022 Registration form as it becomes available at the start of the new year. Coaches will also provide the competition schedule and work with individual athletes on their race plan.
There is a lot of information here, please reach out to laurelcreektfc@gmail.com or your coach with any questions or concerns.
This year is going to be an exciting one and we are excited to welcome all new and returning athletes to the Laurel Creek Track Club family.
Thank you for your support.
Yours in athletics,
Laurel Creek Board Members and LC Coaches
