Timm takes silver in decathlon at Canadian Youth Nationals

Laurel Creek was well represented at the Legion Youth Canadian National Track and Field Championships in Brandon Manitoba August 11-13.
 
Top performance was Caleb Timm who took silver in youth boy’s decathlon while breaking the Ontario U17 provincial record as part of Team Ontario with a score of 5634 points.
 
Nicole Paine was 5th in midget girl’s long jump as part of Team Ontario as well with a 5.26m best jump.
 
Also competing at nationals for LC were sprinters Ashlynn Gillhula who was 10th in midget girls 100m along with Lily Brown, Collette Wolfe and Lizzy Klosa.
 
Way to go LC! That ends our season. We can’t wait until October to get started again!
